About zaGeneral
Our Mission
zaGeneral exists to make Broken Arrow easier to learn and harder to master alone. The game rewards preparation — knowing unit matchups, understanding logistics, reading a map before the match starts — but that knowledge is scattered across Discord servers, forum threads, and replay VODs. This platform pulls it into one place.
For newer players, that means a starting point that isn't 'watch forty hours of gameplay.' For experienced commanders, it means a reference you can check mid-theorycraft instead of relying on memory.
What We Cover
Deck Compositions
Community-built decks with point breakdowns, faction filters, and the reasoning behind each pick — not just a unit list.
Unit Database
Stats, variants, point costs, and counters for every unit, organised by role so you can find alternatives when a matchup goes wrong.
Map Library
Battlefield layouts with spawn points, capture zones, and the chokepoints that decide games.
Guides & Analysis
Written breakdowns of the meta, patch impact, and specific tactical problems — paired with gameplay from the zaGeneral YouTube channel.
Why We Do This
zaGeneral started as a YouTube channel covering Broken Arrow gameplay and strategy. The questions in the comments kept being the same ones — what beats this, how do I build that, why did this push fail — and video isn't a good format for answers you need to look up quickly. So the site happened.
It's built and maintained by zaGeneral, and it's still early. Some sections have more depth than others. If something's wrong or missing, the fastest way to fix it is to say so — the contact page and the Discord both work.
Our Values
Community First
Every deck, guide, and unit breakdown here comes from players who actually play the game. No scraped wikis, no filler — just what works on the battlefield.
Strategy Focused
This isn't a news aggregator. The focus is on competitive play: what counters what, which compositions hold up, and why matches are won or lost.
Data-Driven
Unit stats, point costs, and counters are documented so you can compare options before committing to a deck instead of learning the hard way mid-match.
Player Built
The platform grows with the community. Share a deck, write a guide, correct a stat — contributions from players shape what's here.
